A Quantum Case for God Book Review

I chose A Quantum Case for God by Dennis Zetting for January’s New Beginnings theme because Zetting’s book explains how God created the Universe in Genesis through Quantum Physics and String Theory. It was an amazing read and I spent most of the time reading it, absolutely amazed at God’s wonderful power and gaining more insight into the Bible. God laid all of that knowledge into the Bible for us before the beginning of time. Even with what we know with all our knowledge, we are just now grasping the laws of physics, God had the laws of quantum physics written by men who didn’t know Newton’s Laws of Gravity. Just another wonderful sign of God’s sense of humor.

The author’s goal with this book was to connect Quantum & String Physics, newer sciences that explore more than what we can see, hear, and touch, with God, proving He exists. Zetting breaks down the science of light, the big bang, vibrations, and more through real-world examples and Bible verses to connect the Bible and God through science.

After reading this book, verses like Psalm 139:7 have new meaning for me:

Quantum Physics

After Zetting finished a scientific principle, he would apply scriptures to the same principle. For example, when he talked about light, discussing the entire spectrum of light, not just the visible light. He then includes scriptures of God and Jesus as light.

Please note: You do NOT get the full AWESOMENESS of the scriptures about light and God by just reading the scriptures without reading Zetting’s chapters about light.

Reading Zetting’s book was not fast. I read a section and then had to process it. I’m not a science nut, but he did a lot of real-world examples. These examples helped to “dumb” it down for an average person to completely understand. Not every section had such examples, which made those areas harder to grasp, but those were few are far between.

The end of the book had a section of questions commonly asked by atheists and agnostics. The author answers those questions with Quantum and String Physics applied to the field of science. It’s interesting to see the changes these new sciences bring to not only science but religion and faith as well.

I believe this is an excellent book to read if you’ve ever looked at a sunset or a rainbow and marveled at the wonder of the creator. If you have ever looked up at the night sky and wondered about life on other planets. If you have read your Bible and ever wondered how the creation story and the big bang theory could fit together…

This book helps to explain all of that! It’s a fun read, and not too difficult. It has truly deepened my understanding of God’s power and presence.

If you want to understand how light and God go together, then you should BUY THIS BOOK. It might take you a bit to go through it, but it is worth the read.

Until next time, may God’s grace surround you,
