Behind the Curtain, Marketing

Out with the Old in with 2020

out old 2020

Starting January 2020, Blog Posts for ACBoulier.com and the entire way I do my writing business will be different. Out with the old and in with the new as they say.

Between God’s perfect timing, hope*writers, and well, generally, God’s perfect timing, I’ve been hard at work preparing a new way of putting my writing, social media, branding out to you – my reader.

I’m more focused, intentional, and hopefully, personal.

I have one big goal for 2020 and that’s to make my writing branding and business full time.

To do that, I have to be focused and purposeful. No more doing things just creating social media buzz to keep my feed busy. I’m not going to keep creating content just to have content.

No more trying to match national calendar days to my novels in some ways. Or constantly trying to sell, sell, sell my novels.

I can’t say I know completely what that looks like.

But I have been given some direction and inspiration and that’s what today’s post is about – out with the old in with the new by giving a glimpse into 2020 ANNA CHRISTINE BOULIER’S SOCIAL MEDIA.

Each month in 2020 will have a specific theme that will have a different focus for each week of the month.

Before, my blog posts came out at random times a month. They were often not out the same day, even random topics, rushed topics thought of the day before.

This new system has been planned out months ahead with topics, devotions, scriptures, etc. all decided, and done at least three months before needed to allow me to focus on writing and working on other areas of growing my writing into a full-time career.

WEEK ONE: Social Media focus with QUOTES where I reveal the theme.

Day One of each month: I will post an Instagram Idea Sheet with quick social media hashtags, snapshots, etc. to help you create posts to fit with the month’s theme and help your own social media presence.

Blog Post- Theme: Story of why I chose this theme, details and funny tidbits of reasons why.

Out old 2020WEEK TWO: Social Media focus on SCRIPTURES featuring the theme.

Blog Post – Writing is my Testimony Devotion: Toward the end of 2019, the devotions on my blog usually came the second week of the month, and I will continue to set aside the second week for this purpose, but this specific blog post is now called, Writing is my Testimony, per my tag line to tie into my brand.

Each month, this devotion will tie into my theme and use scripture from the theme. **Part of my devotion for January will be about how this title came about for New Beginnings, as all part of God’s plan.

WEEK THREE: FACTS featuring the theme will be the social media focus.

I like facts. They are fun little tidbits of trivia that help make the world go round. I feel it’s from being a librarian’s daughter. I’m including some relevant to the theme in week three.

Blog Post – Book Dragon Report- Book Review: The third blog post of each month will be a monthly review of a book relating to the topic. Sometimes it will be about writing, or an insight into the character of God, or even an insight into understanding our own character. Stay tuned, I have some interesting novels, even some hope*writers has recommended.

WEEK FOUR: Social media will be a MIX of QUOTES & SCRIPTURES I like, any extra tidbits.

Blog Post – Writing Basics which will feature 101 topics, my personal writing, Q & A’s from my characters, playlists, etc.

This is just the basics, and I’m learning as I go. I’m taking steps through hope*writers, classes, and training to keep focused on my goal of taking my writing/branding/business full-time.

I’m not sure where my writing is going. I know I have a lot more to write in the Grace Series. Sharon’s story, Grace’s story, Ivy’s, and more. Plus, other stories, a mystery novel, or two or three.

Some devotionals are rumbling around in my heart, too, especially after a medical leave I’ve been on that God has really been teaching me about His strength in my weakness. I can only spend a little at a time at the computer before my migraines get really bad, but on the plus side, my house has never been cleaner. (I’m not one to sit still for very long.)

I can’t tell you where I will be in the next few months, let alone the next few weeks. I’ve never experienced God like this before. All of this new direction with my writing path has happened so quickly, effortless, it’s been amazing and a little scary at the same thrilling.

Next week’s blog post will be a Christmas devotion written by my mother, Anne Boulier. I’ve already read her notes, and it’s perfect for the season. Look for it in your inbox on December 12.

There will be one more blog post for the month of December before the new 2020 Kick-Off for January. December 19th’s blog post will talk about my updated website. Changes I’ve made and what will be coming. Be on the lookout for it in your inbox later in the month as well.

Until next time, may God’s grace surround you,
