Behind the Curtain, Marketing

Website Streamlined for New 2020 Goals

WebsiteIf you’ve been to my website lately, you’ve noticed a few changes. They are simple, but hopefully, the general impression is a clean, streamlined look.

I removed the generic header of the teal wood to be replaced with images that more reflect my brand. Showing my computer, along with the new social media calendar I’m working on for 2020 is more along with my story. (For more details, see December 5 post).

The biggest changes were to my book pages. My published book pages were streamlined.

Each novel has its title, publisher (me, of course) with the publishing date, and the link to the book page.

Landing on the individual book page, you see:

Book summary, purchase now link, and then the excerpt.

ALL ONE PAGE.

NO MORE MULTIPLE PAGE SEARCHING!

This simple, streamline action made life much easier for you the reader, and me, the website designer.

**Please be patient as I’m going back to update ALL of my blog post links to this new streamlined format. It has to be completed by hand.

Based on the new goal for 2020 of working to become a full-time author, I wanted to make my website more focused on these goals.

The biggest reason for revamping my social media/branding is not to spend all my time promoting but instead, work on writing the BOOKS floating around in my head.

The problem isn’t I’m running out of ideas, but I have so many, but NO TIME TO WRITE. With a full-time, job, promoting, social media creation, website running, needing to do more marketing, etc. I’m struggling to do what I love which is write.

By streamlining, focusing, and prioritizing, I believe with God-focused help, I can get to where I need to be to better serve you the reader, promote my branding/business, and write all the words down rumbling in my head.

The hardest thing I had to do for this redesign of my website was to delete two pages: Coming Soon and In the Works.

I deleted the Coming Soon page. Now, the In the Works page states, I’m in the midst of multiple projects and will keep you, the reader updated.

I really wish I had more information. I wish I could say, this book will be available on this date, etc. But the truth is, I don’t know.

I DO KNOW, I have more books in me. More Grace stories, mystery novels, youth and children books, devotionals and more. I just know I need to focus on some more technical, marketing aspects so eventually I can put more of my time and energy into writing full-time.

In the last month, I’ve seen God put more things into place for this very DREAM than I’ve seen since the beginning of my Grace Series writing.

Honestly, I thought writing full-time would have to happen YEARS down the road, but now… well, it’s in His capable hands and I’m along for the ride. I don’t know the timeline, the path, or even the car we’re riding in.

BUT I know the driver and I trust Him completely!

Stay tuned for more.

Until next time, may God’s grace surround you,
