Why Cartersville Appears in My Books: A Love Letter to My Hometown
Every author has a place that quietly finds its way into nearly every story they write.
Mine is Cartersville, Georgia.
Long before I was writing novels, these streets were shaping the way I see the world. They’re where I learned about community, second chances, and the quiet ways God shows up in everyday life. It’s only fitting that they became home to so many of my fictional characters, too.
If you’ve read the Grace Series, you’ve already wandered through downtown Cartersville. You’ve stood beneath the historic courthouse, passed familiar storefronts, and maybe even recognized a landmark or two.
People often ask why I chose my hometown as the backdrop for my books.
The answer is simple.
